The Meridian FFA Alumni Auction took place on Nov. 6 at the Meridian High School Career Technical Center.

The annual event is put on by the Meridian FFA Chapter’s wonderful alumni with additional help from dedicated and hardworking FFA members.

The auction featured hundreds of items donated by teachers, FFA members and community supporters. Because of the multitude of support the alumni chapter received, this auction was the most successful to date.

This event started at 5:30 p.m. with the silent auction, and was followed with dinner at 6 p.m. The live auction started at 7:15 p.m., with a tribute to veterans beforehand.

We raised a gross income of over $30,000, which is the highest income ever recorded at a Meridian FFA Alumni Auction.

The funds raised at the alumni auction go toward making state and national trips affordable, providing jacket scholarships and awarding senior scholarships.

The Meridian FFA chapter is incredibly grateful for our alumni chapter, and all community members that attended to bid on items, donate to our chapter, and show their support for the Meridian FFA chapter and our programs.
